This burger joint

With Stephen taking night classes and studying on his nights home, this mom gets a little stir crazy. I have decided to take the kids out for lunch/dinner once a week for....well, many reasons: weather is getting nice, kids need practice in restaurants, mom wants a treat too....

We picked a "burger joint" next to our house for our first trip out. It was so nice to get the kids excited about this outing and to not have to prepare dinner:). It was a great success too. Evie started her fun in the parking lot, jumping up on the curb and giggling, she has so much joy. The food was mediocre and we probably won't return, but as I said, it wasn't about the food.
She wanted to sit in a high chair too because she saw Cy's

Cy was more excited about the keys, but he behaved so well

she ate all her burger and then enjoyed her chocolate shake

We feel very lucky to have Stephen working so hard for our family, and we are so proud of how great he is doing in Grad School. We still miss him though, so it is nice to have a distraction on evenings we won't see him for dinner. I feel "uber" blessed to have two amazing (and beautiful) kids to spend my time with!

This 2 year olds birthday!

The birthday party if finally over... Such a production for a couple of two year olds:)  Evelyn is lucky to have a cousin that is only a month younger than she is. I pray as they grow older they will become close friends and never lose touch. It is special to get to celebrate both of them together for their first 2 birthdays! Having an excuse to call my sister everyday and work on this special party with her is the most exciting part for me. All in all, I would say that the party was a success. The kids had a great time, played hard, loved on by family and friends that they don't get to see often, and slept great that night:) (thankful).

Welcome to OZ!...

 Melted Wicked Witch Punch
As you enter. The Munchkin looked better in my mind, but Evie loved him.
So we made a pin the courage on the lion game, which didn't end up getting played, but it's the thought that counts.
Evie was Dorothy and her cousin James was the tin man, he had an ax and a heart on his sweatshirt. Evie needed some help blowing out her candles.
Evie has become quite the cheese. My mom got her a Toto dog to carry around too.
Hind sight is always 20/20... we bought way too much candy:)

Jama worked so hard on our Jello cups, they looked amazing!
 :)
A little healthy snack to go with our sugar. Turns out the family as all on a diet so we should have provided more healthy options.
Goody bag to go, ruby slipper sugar cookies.
